Before you take photos

A good photo gives a correct result.

Do this

✓ Show all four sides of the sheet
✓ Hold the phone still
✓ Keep the photo sharp
✓ Use bright, even light

Do not do this

✗ No shadow or shine
✗ Do not heap the grain
✗ No blurry or tilted photo
✗ Do not cut off the sheet
✗ Do not mix two samples

✓Spread the grain in one layer on the A4 sheet. No heaps.
✓Hold the phone straight above the sheet. The whole sheet must be inside the photo.
✓All four sides of the sheet must be seen in the photo. A little of the floor or table around the sheet is fine.
✗Do not stand so your shadow falls on the sheet.
